Introduction

After more than 90 years of Traditional Sports Car Manufacture, Morgan unveiled a modern performance sports car at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show. The Aero 8 Series 1 was a quantum leap forward by Morgan. The design team was led by Morgan’s Chief Engineer and Le Mans Race Winner Chris Lawrence. Powered by a BMW 4.4ltr V8, aerodynamically lightweight aluminium body and chassis, race bred suspension and braking gave the Aero 8 one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production sports car.

In 2004 the Series 2 was launched at the Los Angeles Motor Show aimed at the American Market and its rigorous safety standards. The Series 2 was 6” wider with a larger cockpit and boot. Fitted with the latest 330BHP BMW M62 V8 and a ZF rather than the Getrag original gear box resulted in a 0-60mph time of 4.6 secs and a top speed of 160mph.

There were around 50 Series 2 Aeros 8’s produced with approximately 20 UK cars.

This particular 2005 car is believed to be one of only Series 2 finished in Reflex Green making it extremely rare indeed. The interior is finished in Yarwood Stone Coloured Leather, with Spun Aluminium Dash, Natural Ash Door Cappings and Dash Rail and comes complete with Power Steering, Electric Windows and Heated Windscreen. Externally the Reflex Green body work is complimented by a Green Mohair Hood, 18” Alloy Multispoke Wheels and marvellous sounding side exhausts.

It comes complete with the Original Morgan Photo Build Album and supported by a comprehensive Morgan Service History with 9 service book stamps to date.

We are pleased to report it drives every bit as well as it looks!

Exterior – The exterior is in near perfect condition with no dents or scratches to report.

Wheels – In excellent condition with no kerbing

Interior – In excellent condition with no excessive wearing in the seats, carpet or trim

Overall, we’d be confident in saying, this must surely be one of the nicest Series 2 cars available.
