Introduction

The Mercedes AMG Black Series cars have received mixed acclaim over the years. The latest incarnation however, the C63 AMG Black Series is a special car indeed. So special in fact that Pistonheads decided to use it on their last of the Dunlop sponsored “Pure Driving Experiences” with Steve Sutcliffe at the wheel on the route Napoleon in Southern France.

The standard features over the C63 AMG are all performance related with Adjustable Coil Over Shocks, a Lockable Limited Slip Differential and the use of Lighter Wheels giving the car a much more dialled-in driving experience. The engine is non Turbo Charged, just a pure V8 brute punching out a very oral 510bhp (the standard C63 AMG output is 451bhp).

Cosmetically it has grown much wider – with testosterone rather than love handles!

As you’d expect there are various sport mode settings with the most extreme being Sport+ which makes it sound like popcorn is flying out of the exhaust on downshifts.

This particular car comes with some very desirable options to include the Aerodynamic Pack which introduces a substantial rear Carbon Fibre Spoiler as well as a Carbon Fibre Front Splitter and Front Bumper Flics. Although the paintwork is named Diamond White Metallic it is best described as a Pearl White and looks sensational and really accentuates the exaggerated lines of the car and the extensive Carbon Fibre.  

It also has the lightweight front buckets seats which do seem to be a surprisingly very rare choice. This option automatically deletes the rear seats so with this and the wide stance and extensive carbon fibre this is very much akin to a Porsche 911 GT3 setup.

It has of course had its only required service to date carried out at Mercedes Benz.

Condition

Exterior - The exterior is in very good condition with no dents or scratches. There is hardly a blemish to note. 

Wheels - Immaculate with no kerbing.

Interior – Very good condition with no wearing or tears in the seats, carpeting or trim.

Overall, an exquisite example.
