Introduction

After more than 90 years of Traditional Sports Car Manufacture, Morgan unveiled a modern performance sports car at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show. The Aero 8 Series 1 was a quantum leap forward by Morgan. The design team was led by Morgan's Chief Engineer and Le Mans Race Winner Chris Lawrence. Powered by a BMW 4.4ltr V8, aerodynamically lightweight aluminium body and chassis, race bred suspension and braking gave the Aero 8 one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production sports car.

In 2004 the Series 2 was launched at the Los Angeles Motor Show aimed at the American Market and its rigorous safety standards. The Series 2 was 6" wider with a larger cockpit and boot. Fitted with the latest 330BHP BMW M62 V8 and a ZF rather than the Getrag original gear box resulted in a 0-60mph time of 4.6 secs and a top speed of 160mph.

In 2006 the Series 3 was launched which cosmetically attended to the cars often criticised front end "squint" by replacing the VW Beetle headlights with those from a Mini.

The sound of these cars is sensational. If only BMW could let their cars be this loud!

The shape of this particular Series 3 is certainly shown off well in Bentley Silverlake Blue Metallic with a Dark Blue Mohair Hood. It is complemented in Black Leather with Purple Stitching.

Its specification includes 18" Deep Dish Alloys, Power Steering, Electric Windows and a Heated Windscreen and of course those marvellous sounding side exhausts.

Condition

Exterior - The exterior is in very high order with very little to note in the way of front end marks thanks to the bumper and wings being covered in Armourfend.

Wheels - In excellent condition with no kerbing

Interior - In excellent condition with no excessive wearing in the seats, carpet or trim

Overall, this is a very well presented Series 3 Aero 8 in keeping with its low mileage.
