1964 / B Ford/Lotus Cortina MK1 Special Equipment

Of the 2894 Mk1 Lotus Cortinas produced, only 64 were built as Special Equipment models.
This is a prime example of the SE which featured as standard revised camshafts, larger valves and larger diameter exhausts. All this gave an increase of 10 bhp over the standard 105bhp, up to 115bhp.
This car also has adjustable rear dampers and is an early and rare car with ' A' frame suspension. Recorded and badged as an SE, this car is excellent mechanically and bodily and is great to drive as well as highly collectable.

It has remained in the same family for many years and shows only
four registered owners and was the subject of a very comprehensive restoration and
has covered only eight thousand miles since.

Together with the standard steel wheels the car comes complete with exceptionally rare BRM alloy period race wheels.
