1965 FIA Ford Shelby GT 350 H Mustang Fastback - SOLDThis 1965 "Shelby Replica" is ex-Howard Redhouse and has been professionally prepared for racing to the highest standard by GT Services of Earlswood. Featuring a shell that has been properly seam welded and dipped, with a full welded cage by Custom Cages. The car was then painted by renowned body specialist Normandale.
The engine is a bran new Steve Curl prepared 289, built in 2011, giving reliable and usable 430 plus horsepower and the car benefits from being road-registered, but with very little competition use. Events have included Tour Brittania, the Le Mans support race and a few Gentleman Driver outings. Spares package available, FIA papers and Technical Passport included. This car is in outstanding order and offers real value and excitement and an opportunity to race in many prestigious historic events throughout Europe. Freshly rebuilt and updated in 2011. This car finished 4th overall at Snetterton on 17th April 2010 in the Masters Sportscar race, having qualified on the front row, and finished a competitive 15th overall in the Masters Gentleman Drivers series at the 2010 Silverstone Classic. Over the weekend of 4/5th of September 2010 my son and I drove this car in the Gentleman Drivers over 3 litre race at the re-openning of Donington Park Circuit. We qualified midfield on a strong grid and went on to finish 8th overall after a tough 2 hour enduro. We also raced at Monteblanco in Spain and Portimao in Portugal late in the 2010 season and prooved that this car is totally reliable and great fun to drive.
