1958 / Historic MGA Roadster 1500

What a very rare opportunity indeed! 

We are proud and  delighted to offer on behalf of a very fastidious owner this wonderful 1958 MG A 1500.

Finished in original Glacier blue with grey leather seats and a grey hood. This car is very nearly concours but the owner wanted it to be able to be used which it has been albiet very sparingly.

Restoration was carried out in the mid nineties by Simon Robinson in Darlington under the guise of Moss Darlington who were an MGA specialist and the current owner purchsed the car from them in 1997.

The car was restored regardless of cost and since it's restoration has covered only 4,222 miles in the dry. It has never been in the rain since that time and that is evident from the condition of the underneath of the car which still looks as new as does the rest of the car. The roof and side windows have never been used and also remain in as new condition.

In 2005 following the failure of an oil pipe the engine was completely rebuilt and new pistons, crankshaft, water pump and ancilliaries fitted and at this point it was converted to be used with unleaded fuel.

The engine bay was then detailed to original MGA standards by Anders Ditlev Clauster. 

In 2013 the car was fitted with new wire wheels and spinners.

We cannot describe how beautiful this car is in the flesh and surely it can only appreciate further.
