2003 / 52 Dodge Viper SRT-10 - SOLD13,010 Miles,
Bright Silver Metallic, 1 US / 1 UK Owner, Sold with a NEW SERVICE and NEW MOT, 8.3 Litre V10, 500 bhp, 525 lb ft (712 Nm), 6 Speed Manual, 0-60 in 3.9 Seconds, 0-100 in 8.3 Seconds, 2 Keys with 2 Remote Fobs. Introduction Since its launch, the Dodge Viper has been haled as the ultimate American muscle car. The previous generation RT10 has an 8.0 Litre 400 BHP engine. 2003 saw the launch of this, the SRT 10. This major revamp included an increase in engine output to 8.3 Litres and 500 BHP while shaving 230kg off the engine weight. The chassis was also redeveloped making it more rigid yet again saving some weight, this time 36kg. The wheelbase is increased yet the overall length is shorter. It runs on fully independent suspension and braking is also substantially improved with massive four-pot Calipers saving 80ft off the stopping distance from 100 mph. Visually, the car was changed quite substantially and in this redesign practicality was key in the design with a simple to operate retracting convertible roof (rather than an optional removable panel) and electric windows. The interior space is also improved with a more “head on” driving position. The boot space and access is also substantially improved. All in all, Dodge were clearly out to make the Viper more usable with the SRT 10 and therefore more appealing (let alone faster as these muscle cars always have to be with each incarnation of course!) to a larger audience of car enthusiast, and this I have to say, I think they achieved. This particular 2003 Viper was purchased in January 2005 by its one UK owner directly from a Dodge dealer in the US at 7,287 miles with 1 US owner (the invoice is part of the history file). The car has been used in the summer months only over the last 6 years and is presented in truly immaculate condition. It’s 1 UK owner has kept the car 100% original with no modifications. A simply wonderful car that just makes you smile whether you’re in it or seeing it rumple down the street. It will be supplied with a NEW SERVICE and a NEW MOT. Condition Exterior - In very good condition with no blemishes to note. Front end stone chips are near on non existent. Wheels – These wheels are chrome plated and overall are in very nice order but to be critical, they do have some minor blemishes as follows: - Right Front: one minor kerb mark - Right Rear: no kerbing, but one small area of chrome pealed off on the inside of the spoke (about the size of a 10p piece) - Left Front: light kerbing - Left Rear: no kerbing Interior - Is in excellent condition with no tears or wearing in the seats, carpeting or trim.
