1961 Dolphin MK.2 International Formula Junior

Dolphin Engineering Company was established in California by partners John Crosthwaite and Robert Hull in 1960 specifically for the design and manufacturer of Formula Junior racing cars.
Designer John Crosthwaite had enjoyed success in England with both Lotus Cars and the Cooper Car company and wanted to produce his own cars to contest Formula Junior worldwide, as it was the recognised stepping stone to Formula 1 at that time (he was to go on to even greater success in Formula 1 with BRM working with both Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart in 1963).
In doing so, he was going to have to take on established teams such as Cooper, Lotus, Elva and Lola etc.who employed the talents of drivers such as Jim Clark, John Surtees, Jochen Rindt and Lorenzo Bandini, all of whom were regular competitors.
He chose World Champion, Jack Brabham, and Porsche exponent, Ken Miles, to debut the car at the Examiner Grand-Prix at Riverside.
One of only two cars produced at the time, this rare and special car is a rear engined drum brake car with the correct 105E Holbay three bearing engine, recently rebuilt and prepared by recognised UK expert John Wilcox.
The chassis, imported to Britain late in 2006 by Mark Woodhouse, was sent to renown chassis expert Peter Denty to be rebuilt and restored in to correct period spec for the 2007 Goodwood Revival meeting and attain full FIA papers and approval.
Following it's Goodwood debut (where it qualified an excellent 4th overall) the car went on to compete in six further Formula Junior Historic Racing Association races, achieving three podium place finishes.
Now offered for sale in full race-ready condition and in exceptional order throughout with a strong possibility of a return invite to Goodwood in this September's Chichester Cup, this beautifully prepared car has been priced ultra competitively for a quick sale at;

Jaguar XK GT3 RS (ex Apex Motorsport)

This car is the result of the application and massive sports car experience of the late and great Richard Lloyd. Designed using the very best people and built using the very best parts this car is the epitomy of current FIA GT3 regulations and offers someone a massive oppurtunity to takeover, at a fraction of the cost, a really exciting and competitive oppurtunity.
Never realising it's full potential since the private jet air tragedy which cost the lives of all five people on board including team owner Richard Lloyd and team test driver- David Leslie.
The car has recently been tested by Mike Jordan of JordanSport who has enormous enthusiasm for this car and a genuine belief that the car can still win at the very top level of FIA GT3 and of course in British GT or any domestic sportscar championship, it could really dominate Britcar or GT CUP. It has also been tested and featured in the February 2010 edition of "Motorsport Magazine" as driven and written by Johnny Mowlem.
Without question it is the best looking GT3 I have ever seen and offers outstanding engineering and design at a fraction of the already spent R and D budget of the team.
All interested parties must come and see the detail first hand and will soon see the potential in this car for themselves.
Any part exchange welcome and testing by arrangement

1970/1971 March 707/717

Fresh with success from designing the Mclaren M8, renowned designer Robin Herd's next project in 1970 was to design the amazing March 707.
Chassis no. 1 was extensively tested and developed by both Chris Amon and Howden Ganley and then raced in the European Interserie by Helmut Kelleners, winning at Croft and gaining an outright lap record at the Nurburgring Sudschlieffe which still stands today.
Uniquely this was the only car to then be upgraded to 717 spec in 1971 with a more attractive higher downforce nose and relocation of both water radiators to the rear, and oil coolers bought to the front.
In 1973/74 the car was successfully campaigned by Stephan Sklanar taking on the works Porsche's of the era prior to joining the private collection of Helmut Pust, where it was stored in Vienna Neunstadt for the next 20 years, until being discovered by Richard and Lionel Dodkins in 1993.
It was then prepared by Ian Jones of Racing Fabrications for Chris Chiles to dominate the European Supersports Cup for several seasons and more latterly to compete in the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Driven in 2009 at the Goodwood Festival by Takumo Sato who commented it was the most awesome and powerful beast he had driven so far, but with great manners!
Today this car offers an incredible 820bhp and 800 lbs foot torque in a chassis weighing only 850 kgs. Donington is lapped in just 1min 4 secs in amateur hands and the March is welcome in the Masters World Sports Prototype 70's series, and in Orwell Supersports and of course at Goodwood Festival of Speed. This ultimate Can-Am car offers incredible performance, great handling and real thrills per pound spent as well as a fantastic long term investment oppurtunity. Comprehensive spares package including body moulds, wheels and tyres:
Easy to drive and I can personally confirm - a mind blowing experience!

1958 Porsche 356A Carrera GS/GT Coupe

This 1958 model year car was first delivered on 13/01/1958 as a Carrera 1500cc GS finished in Silver with an 80 litre fuel tank (with a central bonnet re-filler), leatherette 'Speedster' seat, lightweight 'Plexiglass' rear screen and a 'Spyder' rear view mirror. The lucky customer, an enthusiastic racing driver and professional jockey, was Mr Hans Harzheim of Koln, Germany, who raced the car successfully in his home country and is still alive today. He achieved notable results including the AvD Rheinland Pfalz Preis on 03/08/1958, a 5th place at the famous Nurburgring Nordschliefe in the GT 1600cc Class and a win on 05/10/1958 in the Eifelrennen Nurburgring, again in the GT 1600cc Class. In addition he also claimed some notable results in rallying with a win in the Avus Rallye, Berlin in 1958 and 1959 and a third place in the Rallye Lyon-Charbonniere finishing in 3rd place. During 1959 he also came 2nd in the Wolsfelder Hillclimb Rennen (German Hillclimb Championship)
The car and driver were also invited to compete in the Nurburgring ADAC 1000Kms Rennen (1 of 6 World Championship races) albeit by this time the car was back at Porsche receiving it's up-date. Furthermore, Hans Harzheim raced on 13/07/1960 in the Rheinland Pfalz Preis Nurburgring GT Class (finishing in 8th place) and at Trier on 19/09/1962 competing in the Porsche Carrera Formula Junior race (finishing in 4th place).
During this period of intense racing activity results were further improved by the car returning to the Porsche factory in 1958 to receive an upgrade of a 1600cc GT engine (115ps), lightweight alloy bonnet, alloy boot lid and alloy doors plus a change of colour to Red.
Following its successful period of racing in Germany the car was sold and exported to the USA, eventually returning to Europe in 1980 when it was discovered by the famous German industrialist, Hans Dieter Blatzheim.
In 1984, it had a complete restoration in Switzerland at a cost of over 74,000 Swiss Francs carried out by distinguished Porsche restorer, Armin Baumann, in preparation for its place in the famous Blatzheim collection in Bonn.
Hans Dieter Blatzheim was an enthusiastic and accomplished racing driver who had one of the largest and most significant collection of Porsche racing cars in the world. Tragically, he died at the age of 47 on 14/08/1985 in a Porsche 917 while testing for the Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. This Porsche 356, along with the rest of his collection, was left to his two young sons on the condition that the cars could not be sold until both sons reached the age of 25 - hence the recent release of this car onto the market.
Therefore, this car has predominantly remained a static display in a private collection, covering no more than 1,500 kms during the last 25 years.
It has recently been sympathetically re-commissioned and has FIA papers and Technical Passport and is now completely eligible and welcome at all the world's most prestigious historic motorsport events, including Goodwood Revival, Tour Auto, Historic Le Mans and Mille Miglia, etc.
This concours condition car represents a unique and exciting opportunity into historic motorsport worldwide with an outstanding pedigree and provenance.
