Introduction

Since its launch, the Dodge Viper has been hailed as the ultimate American muscle car and with an 8.0 litre V10 Engine truck engine it’s not difficult to see why. With looks to match its muscle power, this is not a car for the shy and reserved!

The Viper was originally launched in 1992 with an 8.0 litre engine producing 400 bhp. In 1996, the generation 2 car was launched, still with an 8.0 litre engine but with 415 bhp, then in 1998 the Phase II increased to 450 bhp. The car was improved in many areas to include weight saving, torsional rigidity, suspension and braking. The exhausts point out the rear rather than the leg burning side pipes and also took on some niceties such as electric windows, airbags and 5 spoke alloys rather than the original 3 spoke.

This particular 1998 Phase II Viper was purchased from a Dodge dealer by a U.K. resident while at his holiday home in Florida in April 2011. The U.S. Carfax Report (equivalent to our HPI report though more comprehensive), lists many services which have been listed in full below.

It is in extremely nice condition and looks more like a 5,000 mile car and therefore really does warrant a viewing to appreciate its appearance.    

It is currently fitted with an aftermarket rear spoiler. This can be removed should the new owner prefer.

Condition

EXTERNAL – The paintwork is in extremely good order consistent with a car of much less mileage.

WHEELS – There is some light kerbing on the lip of the wheels. 

INTERIOR - The interior is in very high order with no excessive wearing in the seats, carpeting or trim.

Overall, the presentation of this car is very impressive.
