1967 / KON 932E Ford Mustang Shelby GT 350 Replica - SOLD

 The classic Shelby GT 350H Mustang is every man's dream 1960's American Sportscar - along with the Shelby Cobra, both real icons of the day.
This smart electric blue car drives just as well as it looks, largely because it was built by the legendary Chris Schirle at Classic World Racing in 2007 for fast road use and some mild road rallying.

Taken apart and rebuilt by Chris, the car received uprated suspension (including new leaf springs, front coil springs and dampers all round), Competition American Racing Wheels, a proper limited slip diff, disc brakes all round, new fuel tank/swirl pot and braded fuel lines, new high ratio steering rack, new front and rear anti-roll bar, new brake servo unit, new pedal box and new radiator system with alloy water expansion tank and kevlar hoses.

Most important of all Chris built a proper new 289 to competition spec, on a Ford Motorsport block with a competition cam, roller rockers, lightweight alloy flywheel, big Holley and a large capacity anti-surge oil sump pan. This engine when finished gave 365 bhp and 383 lbs foot torque.(dyno sheet and full spec available by request)

The total cost of this project was well in excess of £25,000 on top of the original purchase price of the car.

Since then the car has taken part in a few road rallies around the UK and the Continent and really had very little use since.

It thus represents outstanding value today as the ultimate fast road car or as a superb road rally car ideal for competing in Continental Tours. It is comfortable because it does not have a roll cage or competition seats and thus highly usable for long distance driving and Touring.

Great fun to drive but not for the fainthearted.......
